I just never understood it. I understand reasons to not like an individual-you know, the irreconcilable differences part, but not the race part.
All it is-pigment of skin because of evolution from where our ancestors were...

I think racism shows a lack of intelligence...and, since we will always have a range of intelligence in humans...I think we will always have racism. It's a shame.....

It is not easy to wipe out something that has been part of our society for almost as long as it has been in existence. Some may even say impossible. The point is, it's habit of our country to be intolerant of others differences and habit can not be overcome just because a few people stand up for it. You may not be able to get rid of racism altogether because it is a personal choice but I know that we have come a long way and we are continuing to get better. Don't let the minority get to you and try to convince you the US is a bunch of racist pigs. It's not true! Be an example. I figure this is the best way to let people know of your views on racism.

i think there is still so much racism in the world b/c that's peoples ancestry. People will always remember about their peoples past and what some of them had to go through. but what some people don't realize is that everyone has ancestors that have went through either slavery, jewish concentration camps, war, etc... it's just some people take where they came from and how far they have come more to heart, as if it is them going through it. But of course this is all just my opinion.

Because people are made to feel that they are less than others and to build themselves up in their minds they need a reason to feel better than others. The only person who is less than others is the person who uses some superficial platform to try to look down on others. Don't look to the government and laws to clear things up. In fact, it seems that many laws are made to drive a wedge between the races, the sexes, the age groups, the religions, you name it. It's called divide and conquer. When we are involved with bigotry or hatred (even hatred of bigots - remember "Resist not evil"???) we can't get together because of our superficial focus. Tolerance of others is the only way out. If they are not harming the weak then leave them alone, whatever their race, beliefs, station in life.

Although it is a fact that all races are different, that does not mean it's a bad thing. People all over the world. It's the people like Jessie Jackson and others like him who like to keep trouble stirred up. Without any conflict, he might actually have to get out and get a real job.

I think there is racism because of fear. We fear what the illegal aliens will do to our jobs, our economic system and often ourselves. What if they are not harmless people looking for a better life, but they are terrorists? We are scared.

We are scared of Muslims because the terrorists that flew planes in the WTC, Pentagon and the ground in PA were Muslims. So people now fear Muslims, we know all Muslims are terrorists, but it is not like they have a scarlet letter T stamped on their foreheads.

We fear teenagers that are dressed wearing gang colors, but then we see the ethnic makeup and see all people of that ethnic makeup as the parent, sister or sibling of a gang member.

People are scared.

There is more than skin pigment that set the races apart.
There will always be racism as long as there is hate.

It is because of the ignorance of others being passed down from generation to generation. People cannot change the future of our country until a total understanding of all races is in fruition

MAN REALLY DON'T KNOW WHY HE FEEL TO HATE, MAYBE IT GIVES HIM A FEELING OF POWER. OR PAIN. I DON'T BELIEVE WE HAVE COME FAR, HOW FAR DO YOU HAVE TO GO TO JUST STOP HATING. DOES IT TAKE TWO HUNDRED YEARS, AND MORE. NO ! IT CAN STOP AT ANYTIME IF A PERSON IS WILLING TOO. I GREW UP IN THE ERA OF SEGREGATION, AND SOME OF THE EXPERIENCES I HAD IS STILL TRUE TODAY.. HOW CAN I TEACH MY CHILDREN AND GRANCHILDREN TO LOVE AND NOT HATE WHEN I AM STILL EXPERIENCING RACISM IIN THE SAME FASHION, BUT, WITH
WITH A DIFFERENT TREND. WILL IT STOP? I HOPE SO FOR THE SAKE OF MY CHILDREN AND MY GENERARTIONS.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT FEELS TO ALWAYS BE ON GUARD IN YOUR EVERY LIFE. I TEACH MY CHILDREN TO LOVE INSPITE OF PERSECUTION. WHEN I SAY ON GUARD, I MEAN AT WORK, SHOPPING, WHEN STOPPED BY POLICE, IN THE MEDICAL FEILD IN EVERY FACET IF LIFE. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE FACT WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS, DIFFERENT HUES, BUT SAME MAKE-UP, NOTHING DIFFERENT. I LOVE ALL THOSE WHO OPPRESSED ME AND MY GENERATIONS, AND LIVE BELIEVING EVERYTHIN MUST CHANGE.

There is no such thing as legitimate Racism. there is only bullish ignorance , in every country. If Morality could be legislated there would be less of a lot of openly racist remarks, But thank God for the freedom from that legislation.
