NO. Not enough money to buy the egos

Absolutely!!!! The league is here to make money...wouldn't be at all suprised to see Dallas win it back-to-back the next 2 seasons. After that it has to go back to LA or NY because that is where the big $$ is. Ever wonder why teams from small fan bases never win (Cleveland, Denver, NO, Golden State, etc)? It's because the country doesn't want to see a Denver vs Golden State final. Talk about killing revenue. Ok get this....every team in the league has the same salary cap and shares it's revenue...how come, then, isn't there more parity like in football? In basketball you have (from the 70's forward) LA then Boston then LA then Detroit then Chicago then Houston then San Antonio. That's about it...and, not coincidently, other than NY, those are the biggest revenue generating teams in the NBA. In this last finals I think it was pretty clear that the league wanted to make sure Dallas didn't win and they did everything in their power to see that it happened. Maybe if Dallas didn't have such an outspoken owner........

Not every year, only the years when the team that more fans want to win isn't going to win on their own, like this year with Miami.
The 90's Bulls definitely didn't need any help winning the 6 Finals they won, but this year, Dallas was the better team, and they only shot themselves in the foot AFTER they received bad calls for the first 4 games.

Nah, Dallas had there chances in game 5, and missed 4 free throws late in the game. If hey hit those they wouldve won. Miami won game 6 cause they came out with more heart, and were the underdogs after they were down 0-2. Bottom line, Marc Cuban is just a baby calling the game fixed, Dallas had their chances, and Miami capitalized on theirs to win. D-Wade will be MVP NEXT YEAR!

Not every year or ever before...BUT, this years finals were very interesting to say the least. I cannot ever remember (only 26 yo) the refs getting so much pub.

There were A LOT of questionable calls late in the game which will make a lot of regular joe fans question the leagues credibility.

Stern needs to do something...ie. get college refs to do preseason games, etc.

i am a spurs fan and if the finals were fixed im sure the big wigs of the nba arent up there saying oh yeah lets have the san antonio spurs win. please! they'd rather fix the earlier rounds so that they could have a miami-los angeles or new york-los angeles match up so they can get better ratings!

No. That's absolutely ridiculous. For example, if everyone hates the lakers so much, why on earth would "they" allow the Lakers to win back to back championships? Obviously, it's not "fixed".

Some games they do, like the referees call more fouls on the other team so the other team can win.
