OK, going against the grain. Yes they can. But they might need to change the 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1 permanently, free up Gerrard, Lampard needs to get on form and for crying out loud, Rooney cant brake his foot. In those circumstances they have a chance.

It doesn't matter if Owen has gone or not - England were never going to win the world cup. They just aren't good enough it's as simple as that. The defending is terrible. Did you see the Sweden game - bad really bad.

Poor Owen..but unluckily I do not think this year he was the man to make the difference. I still hope England will be one of the teams to win the world cup tho.
