The rule for a rental car is the same for any other car you drive. The ticket follows the person, not the car. You alone are responsible for answering the charges in the citation. If you are driving a friend's car, he or she doesn't need to know about it; neither does the rental company. The only thing about driving a rental car is that you need to have your rental contract with you at all times to serve as registration when the officer asks you for license and registration. The car you are driving at the time has no bearing on your ticket; the officer is just making sure the car you are driving has not been reported as stolen.

Let the rental company know and then pay it. It will come back to the company that there is a ticket on the tags and who got it. So, if you were thinking that you could get out of paying it, sorry to say that you're wrong!

Pay it and show proof to the rental company that it is paid. This is a precaution in case the police go after them for an unpaid ticket and you get charged from the rental company.

The ticket has nothing to do with the rental company. They dont need to know. When you get a ticket YOUR name and YOUR drivers license number gets written down. The owner of a car doesn't get the speeding ticket, the drivers does.

You pay for it. If it is a parking ticket pay it and let the Rental Company know and give them a copy.

You don't need to tell the rental agency, but YOU are the one responsible for paying that ticket.

Pay it or you'll lose your license and maybe go to jail. The rental company may not care if you got ticket but they won't pay it for sure.
