ouch! Just try to go slower and definately use a shaving gel/cream or even shampoo or soap on you body. try also to not buy the cheap razors with out the gel on the razor- it's not worth the cost if you're going to get cut up- I learned that the hard way too... also make sure you and your sister are shaving the same way the hair grows, so you won't get razor rash as much.

It happens just remember to shave hair in the direction it grows that tends to minimize nicks and use a shave cream to help the glide over skin.use new razors old ones tend to drag and increase nicks.

Yes, its one of the joys of shaving your legs. Use some shaving gel, or get a puff and foam up your favorite body wash, use lotions to keep your skin smooth and moist so it doesn't get to dry, that will lead to razor burn, like you had shaved on just dry skin...

No, its not normal to cut yourself. I would make sure that my razor is new, I was holding onto the razor the right way, and pulling it up straight and that my legs weren't chilled with goosebumps.
