The Inbox is where your mail is delivered to. The Bulk folder is also known as the Junk Mail folder. Obviously, this is where junk mail is sent to.

Bulk mail is where mail is sent that some program has determined is probably spam. Because YOU didn't make the settings, you'll want to watch it for a while to make sure that mail you want isn't being diverted there from your inbox. If you use Yahoo! mail, the settings are quite easy to figure out.

the inbox is mail which you have given permission to receive,such as security newsletters and personal mail,and the bulk folder is bassically for the rest,mostly companies who have been given your email from sites you have visited and from software you have installed.
bulk mail can hold spyware if opened and used ,but if you wish not to receive any more bulk mail just click on "edit settings"on the bulk page and configure it to block all bulk mail"
on the new yahoo mail page the bulk folder is now described as spam

Bulk messages are mostly unwanted spam. Your inbox should be reserved for trusted contacts. If you get a lot of spam mark it as such and the address will be blocked.

The in box is mail that is going specifically to you (and addressed as such). A bulk mail box is usually SPAM or mail that is going to multiple addressees. You can even set this up in your preferences for Outlook.

BULK mail is essentially junk mail. You can choose to either have it all deleted automatically, as I do; or look thru the list to see what you want to read. Given that BULK mail gets too numerous to bother with, auto-delete is your best option.
INBOX is email you want and/or have subscribed to.

Inbox is usually consisting of non-junk e-mail's that possibly you approved. Bulk is usually junk mail or SPAM.
