I assume you mean some form of *hormonal* birth control...

It can take up to a year for your cycles to get back to normal and for your fertility to return. Some women are permanently infertile following the use of birth control pills. This is a well-known side effect, and your doctor should have informed you of this before he gave you prescriptions for the Pill.

Every woman is different. Just as everyone else has told you, it all depends on your body. The synthetic hormones have to completely leave your body and your body has to go back to it's regular cycle. It also depends on how long you were on birth control. Some women can get pregnant right after getting off birth control. I know one woman who got off birth control and didn't get pregnant for about one year after. There are alot of factors that are involved. It can also depend on your hubby/bf. If he has a low sperm count then it will take longer. Have patience. Don't stress yourself over it. The more you stress and think about it the less your chances are of conceiving.

it really depends on your body . I took birth contral for 10 years and I got pregnant about six months after i stop taking them. you would be best to ask your dr. maybe there is a test he/she could give you to see if you can get pregnant or if is your hubby that can't get you pregnant. Also stress can cause you not to get pregnant or even trying to hard. best of luck to you
