Being fit and sporty does not equate to being well. Either he has a lack of stamina - which could be for a thousand physical reasons - or he is mentally not happy. With both options the reason can take quite a bit of exploring. The first step would be to ask him and discuss it with him. He should get checked by a Doctor - he could have a disease and not know it. Seriously. Have your boyfriend get a good Physical by a Doctor and have some blood work done. If you really care about this guy - make an appointment for him asap.

other than the obvious getting some on the side,

he might actually be anemic. tell him to go have an exam.

oh yeah, a lot of people i know suffer from sleep apnea, that will make you tired all the time. does he snore? that is a symptom of it, but not a conclusive diagnosis. he has to be tested overnight.

It's a sign of depression, seriously, he is unhappy about something in his life, not to say it is you, but I would talk to him about it as much as possible, if he is not a talker, force it out of him. You have to talk about it or you will get hurt (feelings) good luck!

He must need more rest. Regardless of what physical shape someone is in, or how well one eats, sleep is essential. Either that, or he is really depressed.
