sort of.. actually, what you need to do/have is a PL55 cable input (from your guitar/guitar efx) and a baby-PL55(something smaller than the PL-55) to your laptop's mic or line-in female-socket and you're all set, whatever software you're using be sure to set the input source to from your line-in/mic...

You need an Mbox. i believe they are the ones that work with mac. Also you may need software like protools that is if you want to record.
