The Taipan has the most toxic venom, however it isn't the deadliest. The deadliest snakes in the world( they kill the most people) are probably the Russell's Viper, Carpet Viper and Common Cobra. Between them they account for tens of thousands of deaths annually.

It isn't the black mamba.
It depends on what you mean by deadliest. Do you want to know which one is the most venomous? In that case it would be the the coastal taipan. It can kill in minutes and has enough venom to kill 120 people.
Or do you want to know which one kills the most people? In that case it is the Russell's viper, killing the most humans a year.

Fierce Snake / Inland Taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus ), Australia. The most toxic venom of any snake. Maximum yield recorded (for one bite) is 110mg. That would porbably be enough to kill over 100 people or 250,000 mice.

i would say it's a tie between the black mamba and the fierce snakes black mambas live in sub saharan africa, and lethally venemous and extremely agressive, they have been known to kill entire families sleeping in a hut in one night... the fierce snake lives in the australian desert and is the most poisonous snake in the world if you are bitten, you are dead, period, no antivenom, no going to the hospital.. just dead. close runners up... sea snakes, tiger snakes, russell's viper, king cobras, australian taipan, sea krates...
