I was boiling water in a stainless pot and the next thing I know, water is gone and burnt spot all over. I've tried baking soda and vinegar. I prefer not to use abrasive pads.

If you put a laundry lint sheet in the burnt pan with some water and boil it, it is suppose the lift the burnt spot off the pan. I also use baking soda with water and boil it, that works too.

By removing the pot itself by replacement with the new one. Forget to remove burn spot from a stainless item. It has achieved its original shape of the steel.

The maker of my stainless steel cookware reccomends a product called "BARTENDERS FRIEND". You'll find it in the same section of the store where you can buy Ajax, Comet & other kitchen cleansers.
