sometimes it may appear as though racism has disappeared because everyone is still trying to PC but once you get people on their own then it's a whole new ball game. You have in the US, KKK and various fanatical groups. The UK also has its fair share of racists like BNP(British National Party) and Combat18. Lets not forget the radical religious extremeists.
If you do a search through Yahoo answers, you also discover some people airing their racist views. I wish you were right but alas you are not.

You must be in space... Racism will always exist. People are ignorant. In my experience, the only thing pushing more people to somewhat tolerate other races they do not like is by being in an interracial relationship. I have always dated outside of my own race and find that most people are hateful! The stares, dirty looks, comments... I still don't give a f*ck! I laugh at them. It is ridiculous... things will never change.

Racism is still around, the government just make it more difficult to talk about it, so that it looks like it isn't happening!

False. There will always be racism as long as there is a superior white race and inferior minority races. I live in West Tennessee and blacks and whites hate each other. White landlords won't rent to blacks or even want them to visit their property. That's been my experience.

You mean judging based on race or creed? Of course. I'm white and Ph.D. program told me that they will pay me $12,000 a year to do research while going and if I was a 'minority', I would get $24,000 a year(even called names when playing football as a kid by coach--"Hit that cracker"). Every race has their own story and perspective on racism, from whites to Italians to Indians to blacks to... It's life and it's just a matter of 'if you let it get you down'. I'm not going to let it. And I suggest anyone of any race to keep moving and disregard(don't let it get you down).

in my opinion, i dont care with color is it.
a black person can do same things as white people do.
and in the age where black people were slades, i think it meant that white people were vague and didnt want to work.
black people are stronger and so they are better workers.
