Do you think it's a good Idea?. I have only written 4 programs/games so far so I dont really want to put up a website yet. I think that would make me look like a small "mom & pop" shop. Please let me know what you think.

Pay one of the people who kids idolise to publicly endorse your programs, but be aware your not just selling to kids. your selling to their parents, school teachers, tutorers, doctors, and any other person who has influence over the kids who are your primary target audience. Make it fun, slightly educational, proper and morally correct.
The idol you select will no doubt already appear or advertise in children's daily life, and your asking him to include your game in their presentation in return for money. your first sell will be to the current employers of the idol, then the idol themself, then they do the work for you while your freed up to create or improve your programs. This process can be streamlined even further by using an agent to headhunt for idols on your behalf, but your agent will expect a cut for their efforts, so while your first starting up I'd suggest doing the leg work yourself unless your a terrible salesman but an excellent programmer. It's your business, Im just an answerer.

Contact your local Small Business Development Center (SBDC). They are located in many Comunity Collages around the US. They can give you information on marketing, the market, financials, and any laws you may need to conform to. And its all free. They may offer small business startup classes or info about other places offering classes in your area too, besides the one on one counciling they offer. It was very helpful in our new business, and I wish you the best of luck with yours. http://www.sba.gov/sbdc/
