I called welfare recepients parasites in another post and someone wrotee me a PM quesioning that.

Here are the Definitions:
1, An organism that grows, feeds, and is sheltered on or in a different organism while contributing nothing to the survival of its host.
2, One who habitually takes advantage of the generosity of others without making any useful return.

I know 1000s of welfare recipients.
Half of them are outright scumbags: they keep having baby after baby; do work under the table; paddle drugs; commit adultary and prostrituition; abuse medicaid benefits to the max; breed next generation of parasites and keep thier own children from having any future and find ways to make their own children 'disabled'.
Some are nice but still could work and chose not to because they can beat the system, they still are burden on you and me.
Very rarely does a person living on public assistance really need it.

So I ask all:do you think most welfare recepients are parasites or not?

By definition, yes. Some are genuinely in need of help, and I support us giving it to them via our tax dollars. What I'm against is those that could easily be out earning money, but choose not to. If a country gets left wing enough it can never go back, because with enough people on welfare, the voting will always go that way (eg. New Zealand)

Welfare needs to be a valuable "safety net" for people who are down and out, however like all government giveaways it creates and it fosters behavior where people don't do anything to improve their lot in life.
Creul as it sounds, there needs to be a limit on how long you can depend on the government and there needs to be real incentives for people to go to work. What if you got more money if you actually had a job, or low interest car loans, housing loans, etc.

Honestly yes I do believe that. I just wrote a 27 page paper on Walfare in the state of Kansas and it is unreal! I have never really thought about it untill then, but yes you are right I do know that there are some people who only use what is necessary untill they can support themselves, but those people are few and far between!

i think a lot of them are, but some aren't. those that need a temporary assistance program to get back on their feet are not. i have some friends that hit up the government for everything including wic, stamps, welfare, you name it, for years. i wish the government would control that program that inables so many people for generation after generation. people are used to getting what they want, so that's why they don't go out and get a job!
to answer your question, i'd say most are parasites because historically, those that use it temporarily are so few in number. then you have those that have lexuses, and still use food stamps and welfare. i have been behind people in stores that use food stamps dressed way better than me, and they go out to the parking lot to a year old lexus. hey, if you can live with yourself doing that, go ahead.

I think welfare is a good thing if it is used in a temporary situation, but many have made it a way to support themselves while they do nothing...Hope this helps...
