I want to make a database so when I want to order something from a vendor, I can type in the product name and quickly find the item and who we previously ordered it from. I don't now how to get this database started. Are there templates somewhere that I could use? Please help!

I'm not a pro but I recently used Access for dummy's and made a simple little database similar to what you're talking about. Access is my new favorite utility. It's capable of doing very technical things...but I was able to figure out a simple thing for my needs. Good luck!

Sounds like you need a SQL database. MYSQL is popular. There isn't a template but your administrator can set it up in a couple days.
