Questions regarding sexual intercourse during pregnancy are surrounded with so much misinformation that clinicians marvel at the powers of human imagination. What are the facts in this important area of your life? Sex relations during a normal pregnancy are in no way harmful. If there is no bleeding and your membranes have not ruptured, intercourse anytime during pregnancy is desirable, permissible and safe. The rule of moderation should be followed. Rules for frequency of intercourse cannot be set up by any book. Your own physical desires and mature thinking are all that must be consulted. It is interesting to know that in some women sexual desire is heightened during pregnancy because of the increased production of female hormones. Knowing you don't fear becoming pregnant tends to make sexual enjoyment great at this time, and orgasms are in no way harmful. Some habits will require alteration because of the changing shape of your body. This is a good time to experiment with new intercourse positions. The usual male above female position will require modification and many couples find it more comfortable for the female to assume the position above the male. Side or rear entry and other positions can be tried to satisfy your individual desires. If lack of lubrication causes vaginal discomfort during intercourse, a lotion, jelly, or cream applied to the genital area will be helpful. Ask your clinician first, however. It is even more important than ever that you and your partner remain faithful to each other (monogamous relationship.) Otherwise there is an increased risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease. These diseases are dangerous for the mother and the fetus. Should you have and questions about the practice of sexual relations during pregnancy, do have a frank discussion with your healthcare provider. In some cases sexual limitations during the last four weeks of pregnancy may be desirable. Rarely is total abstinence during the pregnancy called for.

You don't ever have to stop even up till the very end if NOTHING is wrong with the cervix or the pregnancy you can and should have sex up until delivery. Ask your OB if there is a problem that might cause you to have to stop having sex in the pregnancy. ALSO sex tends to FEEL A LOT better in pregnancy due to increased blood flow.

You can do it as long as it's comfortable for you. There is no way one can harm the baby, only maybe if you lie on your tummy for too long, but having sex is OK, just don't overdo it during the last weeks as semen can induce labor due to its hormonal contents. For real, when i was 3 days late, the doctor told me to have sex, because of that.

Sex is always ok during the entire span of your pregnancy. In fact, during your last month, sex is one of the best ways to induce labor! But if you have any doubt, just talk to your doctor, thats what their their for! Believe me, there is not a question they have not heard before. Have fun and congratulations!

Ask your doctor if there are any risk factors for you to have sex during pregnancy. Every pregnancy is highly individual. As long as your doctor gives you the OK, you can have sex clear up until labor or until it becomes uncomfortable for you to do so.

yes it is ok, yalll can do it as much as you want it doesn't hurt the baby. You should stop if your OB says to or when you start to dilate around your due date. I have 2 kids and i had sex with both of them right up till i was going to have them and they are fine. And also all the baby fills is a rocking motion.

Absolutely. You can have sex all the time you're pregnant, beginning to end, unless you have specific instructions from your doctor because of some risk factors, and that's rare. Enjoy!

At your stage you can still have sex if you want to. When I was pregnant with my son I have sex up until my 6th month but it all depends on how comfortable you are wiwth it.

You can have sex right up until labour!! They actually recommend it to induce labour at term so go ahead. You will have to change positions to accommodate your growing belly but until your water breaks there is no reason, no medical reason, not to have sex. You cannot and will not hurt the baby.

You can keep doing it until your in labor. People actually say at the end it helps get contractions going. Unless your doctor says you shouldnt... so have fun! Especially now until you get big... then it gets to be a little bit of a job. :)
