There is 1 in 500 chance that his tubes could grow back or it didn't take. Best to use another form of birth control if you don't want to get pregnant. Plus, how do you know if he is telling the truth? A lot of guys say that their tubes are tied or they can't have children, just to get you into bed with them. So be careful!!

Let's clarify this a little bit. First of all a guy cannot get his tubes tied because he has no tubes to get tied. But if he did get a vasectomy it is still likely but a very very slim chance unless you are messing with another guy

Women have their fallopian tubes tied. Men have their vas deferens clipped, which is called a vasectomy. There are documented cases of pregnancy in both instances. The only surefire way not to get pregnant is to not have sex.

It's called a vasectomy and yes, there is a slim chance of getting pregnant. You should still use protection because of STD's!

in extremely rare instances you can still get pregnant. i wouldn't worry about getting pregnant but until i knew what possible std's he's come in contact with i would use a condom. remember that you are sleeping with whoever he has slept with and whoever they have slept with and on and on and on. so just because you can't get pregnant doesn't mean you should have unprotected sex.
