running towards something, running shoes...I don't know why, it's just want I automatically think of when I hear that word. :)

Hmmm...motivation? Well if I get your question, the image that comes to mind for me:
Imagine a man hanging off the edge of a cliff, holding nothing but a single branch. At the bottom of that cliff is a pit of lions. At the top of the cliff, an angry horde of wild beast's. Next to him is a roaring bee's nest.
Now, motivation comes into play when that man, despite his obvious outcomes...reaches inside that bees' hive for a handful of honey!

In the workplace? Or in general. Whe n I motivate myself to excersize, I imagine myself looking like I want too, 15 pounds lighter.
