There is some truth in what you say. The rabid feminists (most of who strike me as lesbians anyway) always chant, "it's a woman's right to chose." The abortion issue can be solved in another phrase: "if you don't want to get pregnant, don't have sex."

In response to the reply of James F.Obviously YOU
have no sense of anatomy and physiology.Babies do feel
pain and hunger.No I am not a pro life fanatic.While I do
not support abortion as a form of birth control,at time it is
a necessity.Same with the death penalty.It is a necessity.
Some people can not be rehabilitated.I think lethal injection
is more humane than partial birth abortion.Personally I could
administer the injection without flinching.I don't think I could perform an abortion.

if your question is are liberals really compassionate the answer is No. Their political self interest positions on partial birth abortions, prisoners rights unless they happen to be american soldiers, education and so many other things might be best understood in this context: I feel your pain, and because I a liberal say that it must be true and enoug. I THE BIG Liberal, don't actually need to DO anything to help eliminate, change or even bring to light the reality of the problem. I simply need to posture in a way that makes me appear to be caring and count on the UNBIASED press to carry my battle flag for me so that I can strut and pose as someone who isnt owned and controlled by forces who don' t give a rat's *** about anything except their on power games.

WHY are you trying to make me follow Your beliefs?! WHY do
you approve of MEN making laws for women? Are you trying to
throw women's rights back into the dark ages?!
Abortion is nothing more than the removal of a formed cluster of
cells that cannot sustain life on it's own.
Please don't encourage anyone to limit our rights. We all have
our individual beliefs & brains to come to our own conclusions.
Wait, that cluster of cells IS part if the womans body & cannot
live without being attached to her - you know - like less desirable
cells that won't live without host.
If you're so passionate about killing - lets get into issues that
need that need your passion - like the millions starving to death
in Africa & Asia or the 2 young soliders who heads were cut off.
Another thing is that homeless women, living in boxes, don't want
to raise a baby homeless, hungry & without opportunity.
I believe it's not fair to bring a baby into the world with little chance
of survival & a big chance of suffering hopelessly.

I would have to argue that Pro-Choice produces less abortions than the do-nothing republican version. The republicans control both houses and the executive. They could easily make abortion illegal, but they don't.
Why?
Because they understand it is an issue which brings their thralls to the polls. Without this issue they would lose a large number of people who decide to vote republican based upon this issue alone.
There are more abortions today under republican leadership than under democratic leadership.
Why?
Republican programs such as abstinence only coupled with a policy of not teaching birth control in HS increases not only unwanted pregnancies but the risk of acquiring STDs.
There is a reason it is called Pro-Choice and that is because a woman's body is hers to control and make decisions about, not yours or mine.

Abortion was approved by the Supreme Court of the United States because:
They recognized only GOD can determine if abortion is murder.
Murder is the taking of an independent life/person. Our society finds it perfectly acceptable daily to end a 'dependent' life.. You see this everyday in hospitals where ppl are unplugged...
Also, only GOD can determine if a fertilized embryo is an actual person.
I hate to tell you but YOU can not speak for GOD. YOU can only speak to what you think GOD believes as I CAN ALSO.
Based on the fact that nobody but GOD himself can answer those questions about murder and life, it is between each woman and GOD to make the decision for her body.

do you read the newspaper? over 20,000 innocent iraq's have been killed. and every day there is a bombing or car bomb killing women, men, and children. we have created a mess. why don't you go to bahgdad and make your statement to the families who have had family members killed by our bombs and because of our prescence. did you remember the invasion we bombed baghdad to get saddam aand he wasnt even there. and conservatives cry about abortion but beleive in the death penalty. read a newspaper and rethink your views. our sanctions were working on sadam and his army was weak from the first gulf war, we easily defeated his army this time because there was no threat. if he had wmd's why didn't he use it during the invasion-becasue there were none, the sanctions worked and un inspections were working, ask hans blitz!

Well, I believe that most support choice, not murder. (I know, I know...I'm actually standing up for them.) I don't know of anyone who's pro abortion, though I wouldn't put it past some of these liberals. I, too, an pro choice....and a conservative. See, even conservatives are able to see some good in liberal ideas. Too bad the same can't be said of liberals.

Liberalism is an ideology, philosophy, and political tradition that holds liberty as the primary political value.[1] Broadly speaking, liberalism seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of minorities are guaranteed. In modern society, liberals favour a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed[2]. Liberalism rejected many foundational assumptions which dominated most earlier theories of government, such as the Divine Right of Kings, hereditary status, and established religion. Fundamental human rights that all liberals support include the right to life, liberty, and property. In many countries, "modern" liberalism differs from classical liberalism by asserting that government provision of some minimal level of material well-being takes priority over freedom from taxation. Liberalism has its roots in the Western Enlightenment, but the term now encompasses a diversity of political thought, with adherents spanning a large part of the political spectrum, from left to right. In the context of economics, the term "liberalism" refers to economic liberalism, which is associated with the political ideology of liberalism itself.

I am not going to argue or take a position on your question...but a fetus is PART of a woman's body same as a tumor (not that I think a baby is a tumor (smile))...it is growing inside, connected and living off of the body...it is not just hanging out inside the woman.

You should send some e-mails to man_id_unknown. He loves talking about feminism and the evils of abortion. You'd get along well together.
You must not be Jewish, or you wouldn't get up on your high horse and call abortion a "holocaust". You mock the word with your self righteous moralizing.
