I think understanding is more important.

I'm old school but I consider spelling important. Mispelling is a sign that someone is just didn't want to take the time to look up a word. In my past life as a supervisor and manager, I looked at numerous job applications and resumes. Any mispelling meant that application or resume was rejected on the spot.

I'm afraid I actually don't understand the question --
Spelling is not more important if that's what you're asking. As long as you get the point across, I guess.

You have to understand that proper spelling makes it easier for people to actually answer your questions. I mean, it's okay to make a couple of mistakes, typos and misspellings happen....it's just that some people use a bunch of 'instant messenger' abbreviations to ask one simple question and it takes longer for the reader to actually figure out what they are trying to say......simply because it's a bunch of letters that you have to figure out. If the reader is not familiar with using those abbreviations on a daily basis...it's like trying to figure out a foreign language.

Understanding the question is more important, but poor spelling can certainly hinder that.

Do you expect us to be mind readers? We were not aware that English is not your primary language.

If you choose to ask questions in English, I would suggest you use a "thesaurus", a very helpful guide.

If that does not help, drop an unabridged Websters dictionary on your head.
