The question is, are the things you do pure? We're naturally selfish. Even the purest people do kind stuff in hopes of getting on god's good side. It seems as if maybe it's these people who've sold their souls for some sort of gift.

I notice the purist of heart seem fake and putting on an act. Is the promised land even worth the trouble? If this heaven is perfect and the land of milk and honey, wouldn't you be bored with it? it might be just like our life is now, with all the same problems to ward off boredom. If it was, does that mean we could just as easily be in heaven right now.

I personally believe that every person is already saved. Isn't that the point of Christ's sacrifice? Did he die on the cross so 10% of the world's population can be saved? Did he die so he can start a multi-billion dollar religion industry? If he is truly the shepard who nevers looses a sheep, like in the parable he tells, then I truly can't believe he is a god who could stand by while trillions of his children are tortured in a fire pit in hell. And if that's what we are, his children, then eternal punishment doesn't seem to be very graceful. So, what I'm saying is don't worry so much about salvation, but worry about being the best person you can be. God will take care of the rest.

I'm sure that California Governor Danny DaVito would like to philosophize about Salvation. As for your second question, it isn't any one and only thing; it's a long and involved process that begins with recognizing, accepting and acknowledging the fact that the doctrines endorsed by the Bible are a bunch of phoney-baloney. The fact that I know that makes the THIRD question, for me personally, redundant.

I don't think there will be many who would have the same viewpoint on this and I know there probably wouldn't be many who would agree with me either. If we could agree on different issues and what to do about them then we could actually change our government and the gas prices. Also we could stop the drug companies from getting so rich. But alas, there is not that much agreement that anything can be done about it so here we are.

It's like this. There is no salvation when you die because there is no one to save you. God does not exist. When you die you are dead. That's it...end of story. No heaven or hell.

So many like to philosophise about this and related questions - but it's better simply received, as a free (but extremely costly) gift from God and it's called Jesus Christ. Our own best efforts are inevitably flawed - if not, there would've been no need for Jesus to die for us.

There is only one way to get to heaven. And that is through Jesus Christ and what he did for us when he died. john 3:16 says: "For God so loved the worl that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Romans 6:23 says: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Jesus is the only way to get to Heaven!!!!
