I definitely think so..plus he's handsome......DARN Johnny Depp...that's the only time I'll dislike Johnny Depp..because River Phoenix got a drug over dose in his stupid club...The Viper Room..other than that I LOVE JOHNNY DEPP...but if River Phoenix was alive..I'd like him even more..

Considering how great of an actor his brother turned out to be, yes I think he would have done great things. However, it is most likely the example set by River that his brother has learned from...be a successful actor yes, but DONT do drugs...River probably never could have made it bc he got involved in all that stuff.

It wasn't Johhny Depps fault but Rivers. River was the great actor and great person who could save the world but couldn't save himself. If he was still alive he could have become one of the pop actors of our time who lose their gift for commercial movies. There is no chance for him being alive as he most probably had to die, so that lagend of eternal river and immortal phoenix continues to live.

It's interesting to wonder how successful lots of actors who died young would have become. Would Chris Farley and Jim Belushi still be considered comedy geniuses? Would Phil Hartman still be employed or doing infomercials for zit cream? I think River Phoenix would have gotten straightened out (like Robert Downey Jr.) and gone on to do great things. Unfortunately, like many, we will never know. I only hope we can learn from his mistakes and go on to do great things ourselves.

I think he was talented and definitely missed by hollywood, but everything happens for a reason. We got a glimpse of what a great actor he could have been and then how tragedy can effect hollywood. He would've been a huge star!

Yes, I think he would have made it even bigger than he was. Tom Cruise would not have stood a chance against River!

If he would have lived, by now he's be a burnt out coke head. He was good, but how can you respect an actor that killed himself using illegal drugs? Is he a hero...??? I don't thik so.

TX GUY
