to chaka: there is nothing wrong with this sentence. The verb agrees with the noun. Does the mavs lose would clearly be wrong.

No, but there were some bad calls also some bad non-calls. When Miami called a time out Dwyane Wade slammed the ball down the the ground and the ball bounced high in the air to show his frustration in front of the referee he should have been "T" ed up. Another play was when Gary Payton was talking to one of the referees while the ball was in played and was passed to him, he turned it over and JOsh Howard or someone was on a fast break and coming down the court was Alonzo Mourning and he blocked the shot and fell to the ground and started acting very erratic and taunted the Mavs. On another play 'Lonzo' again blocked a shot and he threw down another Mavs player and the refs didn't call that. These are just several of the non-calls i saw last night. Bad calls or not. I really wanted the Mavs to win but Miami deserves it because there is no way you can be leading the series 2-0 and lose 4 games in a row. That is not a championship team. Go Lakers next season.

Well I think the Mavs had their opportunities to win even with the bad officiating. But it is hard to remember a span of 4 games where the officiating was so lopsided. I don't think I have seen so many blatant phantom calls... or offensive push offs called as fouls on defenders. Sure the NBA wants to create the next superstar in Wade... but get a grip, the guy is good enough without the whistleblowers gushing all over him by sending him to the line every time someone breathes on him. Bottom line is: free throw attempts over the whole series: Miami 207, Mavs 155. And the Mavs were +7 after game 1. Thats a net of -59 over the last five games. Anyone who thinks the whistles were blowing on par didn't watch the games, or is Dwayne Wade's mother. But the NBA doesn't have the guts to admit their own mistakes... so Miami will carry home the trophy.. but I'm sure it rings a little hollow for most people who watched all the games.

There were some bad calls, but that's nothing new. There are always bad calls in someone's favor. That didn't loose it for the Mavs. They had better skills that the Heat, but didn't execute their plays. Last night they relied too heavily on the 3-pointer. If they had just taken it to the hole, they would have held their lead. And we haven't even talked about turnovers. The Heat didn't beat the Mavs, the Mavs LOST IT.

in undemanding words Mark Cuban (and human beings who comprehend him) can inform you that. yet, i am going to inform you this. Mark Cuban is an stressful little Napolean guy, that makes me dislike the Dallas Mavericks. I choose someone (all and varied) else owned the franchise. i love it after I easily do no longer comprehend who owns a particular professional activities team. operating example, i'm a huge Redskins fan. I choose, more effective than some thing, that I had no clue about Dan Snyder. i don't like the Cowboys, and particularly don't like Jerry Jones.

Yes they did. Anytimesomeone breathed near Wade he went to the foul line. I mean, in one game he went to the line 26 times.....thats more than the entire Mavs teams. I mean and that foul at the end of the game 5 where Dirk placed his hand on wade's hip, didnt alter his shot at all but of course, its superstar treatment and wade gets 2. There was the foul on Terry at the end of game 5 that wasnt called because if he went to the line for 2 free throws, teh game is over. Everyone wanted the Heat to win, including the refs, its just sad to see they had to sacrifice a fair game to get it to happen

I dont know if they lose, but I think his antics does hurt his teams chances of getting good calls. If you cry too much - it goes against you and while I think the NBA officiating is horrid - he may actually be hurting them - because we all know all sport refs are above any criticism and despise being called out.

And Wades drive at the end, while pushing Novitski was a blatant an abvious foul. ANd for the record - I love Wade and believe he is the true MVP - as a die hard Marquette fan.

there was bad officiating in games 3, 5, and 6 but the mavs had chances to win despite that. mavs were the better team but they made careless moves and it cost them the title, even though i hate to say it.

No. I am one that believes that people shouldnt make excuses for not winning. To me, the officiating is an excuse, simple as that. Miami was a better team, they won irregardless of the officials that missed a TON of calls that would go their way as well.

yes, there were some bad calls. The heat deserved to win though. Shaq gets fouled more than any one in the league.
