In the words of Groucho Marx, "why a duck?". Feel free to substitute dock, deck or....well, whatever.

My choice is a big wooden deck. Reason being because the deck can allow for more use that a wooden dock will allow. Picture this sitting on the wooden deck u can create a masterpeice if u will, and enjoy the finished product.

Same here... I think my husband enjoys playing with the 'cool' toys a lot more than my son. He'd rather play with the box, it's much more fun, or the collection of bowls, spoons, pots and mommy's work 'left overs' that made its way into his playpen - where he has to stay while I'm working unfortunately (if he doesn't, I'll never get my work done, and we won't be able to afford all those cool toys my husband loves so much).

It would seriously depend on if you live next to some water .... if not the dock is going to look preeeeety silly.

Deck for sure. You can put up an umbrella and sit under it when it rains.
