They don't care!
They didn't care when the current Admin. killed 3000 Americans on 9/11, and they definitely don't care about expendable soldiers!

Many Republicans disagree with the war in Iraq at this point. Congress and the President decide when the troops come home. 2500 is just a number. There was a death at 2499 and will be at 2501. Each death or maiming is a horrible horrible thing. At the point Congress decides we should pull the last of our troops, I have no idea how many casualties we will have suffered. However, i think at this point, the administration and Congress believe it is worth the price to stay.

We mourn every death in this battle. War is hell. War should be avoided.
Tony Snow doesn't want to denigrate individual lives with a callous body count.
However, since we are engaged in this one, we cannot act irresponsibly at just cut and run. Chaos would ensue. Iran would probably make disorganized Iraq its puppet state, and control half the Mideast oil.
The U.S. Civil War cost 560,000 lives, a full 9% of the population. Was it worth it?

You took Snow's comment out of context. You took three words out of a one hundred word paragraph. But of course you know this.

Repuglicans have no sense of humor, I think it is a lack of a quality sex life that causes this. They are only allowed sex once a month in the missionary position, and then only for procreational purposes only. That is why they were so upset about Clinton getting a hummer in the oval office.

They can't handle the truth. Give them time.. I think some are beginning to come around and see what is what. There will always be ones who are going to believe what they are going to believe no matter what true facts you show them though.
It's pretty hard to hang on to faith in a civilized world in times like these.
