I am in the middle of the road between attending New York University and a local city university. Same business degree but different universities. Is there really a big difference between the the two?

There's much more of a difference between students. A lazy student and a good university does not get nearly as good an education as a hard working student in a less famous university.

I think it depends on what kind of job you're looking for and if the company will be more impressed by a bigger name university. If what you want to do is highly competitive, I'd go for the state university.

Have you visited both campuses? Talked to a counselor? See what each will offer you, scholarships, grants, etc. This information should be part of your decision making criteria. Good luck to you!
