For the most part, unfaithfulness is the result of a lack of true commitment to the other person. Commitment is not based on the feeling of love, but on choice, (because you don'y always feel love toward the other person), and there can be no revervations in the hearts of those involved if the relationship is to be successful.
There are always situations out there to temp either partner to be unfaithful, and those enticements are usually the strongest when the relationship has hit a hard spot. However, if you have truly commited yourself to a relationship, you will choose to not allow anything to move you from that commitment.

It happens when the needs of one or both parties are not being met (usually emotional). People change and you have to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of you mate.
It's a seductive and enticing thought that creeps in there as the disillusionment over the current relationship festers and requests for help go unheeded.
Some people are just scumbags and will cheat just to do it. Many are well-meaning men/women who feel trapped and make a decision - they do have to live it though.

ive always wondered the same thing too. it makes no sense to cheat on someone u are suppose to love. there are options for people. either single or not. why do people wait until they are with someone to cheat to hurt the others feelings. the only thing i can figure out is it is the thrill of it, no commitment just sex and pleasure. or they like a drama filled life.

This answer is so simple... I don't know why it keeps being asked.
MEN, WOMEN, CONEHEADS... ANYONE...
THEY NEVER STRAY... when they are being cared for. If you are getting what you need AT HOME... why go out?
What women miss is... they:
- Let themselves go...
- Become complacent
- take on interest that preclude their man
- become emotionally un-available
- Not on a work night
- I've got a headache
- Okay... but pull up the covers when you're done.
- Take on projects that don't benefit the marriage
- Become a total B-I-T-C-H about things...
and then... DRUM ROLE PLEASE... are totally surprised when their husband is KNOCKING THE BOTTOM OUT of the next door neighbor, who gives him the LOVE and attention he craves at home... WORSE YET... *HE'S * the A-S-S- HOLE.
And this ISN'T restriced to MEN... If a man doesn't treat his wife or woman right... she'll eventually find someone who will.
This isn't rocket science... it's HUMAN NATURE.
Deal with it... now... or later.

People cheat when something is missing in the relationship, it does not always mean that the cheater loves you less, you may be the only person the cheater loves, sexual fulfillment is a basic need, it has nothing to do with love

It is a common instinct of them to do so.Everytime a relationship goes strong people try to find backdoors so that they might have someone to look upto if the relationship fails.This leads to cheating on the ones they're supposed to love.

I'll try this one. I think people cheat becasue they are not happy with the one they are with. Something is missing and they go do it. Most are immature and they are trying to have it all out there. Others are looking for a way out and they cheat wanting to get caught.

cause they might not feel the same.guess u got to also give the feeling to them that u cud cheat on then...so they wont push the limit or take the risk in loosing u.....and if they do u will have a back up to fill in ur void...

Becuase us humans are stupid!.... sometimes love is not enough... you need a lil more to it... satisfaction, learning how to give in (even when their wrong) its ok to do it once in a while
love is like a plant.. if you dont water it, it doesnt grow. you need to learn how to keep that spark going... sometimes its our faults they cheat!

because they are lyers and the scum of the earth and dont know what the word love mean they just say it cause it gets them points and some lamb brain will believe it
