astrologers aren't scientists, so I wouldn't worry about what they have to say because they have no credible evidence to back up their claims.

Mars and Saturn are closely aligned in sky these nights. They actually were perfectly aligned on Saturday (June 17).

Planetary alignments are not rare and have absolutely no effect on the earth whatsoever.

An alignment of Mars and Saturn happens every two years or so.

On April 6, 2000, there was a close alignment of the moon, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars. In April through May of 2002, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Mercury, and Venus all got aligned with each other at different times (see second link below). Unfortunately, there will be a long time (2040) before such beautiful group alignments happen again.

Astrologers love to find some significance in these events ... some dire, some benign, some positive.

And on the Internet, people love to speculate about terrible effects, like tidal waves and earthquakes, which are, of course, quite silly. Here on Yahoo Answers somebody asked about a "collision" between Mars and Saturn. :-)

The only effect I can vouch for: This is a great time to romance your honey. Get a telescope (great investment). Bundle up. Find a clear patch of sky. Result: guaranteed nookie.

Gee evil why? Well, if I remember my mythology right, Mars was the Roman God of War--and War is evil. And Saturn was the goddess of agriculture and could be evil by not providing crops enough for people to eat and survive.
And as far as what the astrologers believe, well astrology and mythology are pretty much the same thing.

R&p would be better if every other comment wasn't spam or a comment swearing at the last commenter or the asker, as in calling someone a fag for liking a band they asked about, or much worse comments. Then again, you'll find those people who say that stuff, the people with no lives, all over the internet, not just R&p. But, in other words, what yahoo could do is get a better system of filtering inappropriate content. They could also get music it's own section ( FINALLY)

Astronomy (and our eyes, I say them a couple nights ago, very pretty) only tells us that they appear near each other in the sky. It is the fortunetellers (which is what astrologists really are) that say it means something bad. I am only a person with eyes and an astronomer, so I can't tell you what the astrological implications are.

Evil planets?
by whom?
Mars because it shows evidence of having possibly been able to support some kind of life and the bible never mentioned that?
I don't think I quite get what you're asking...
How could you not like Saturn...?? It's beautiful
