Anyone remember the Puff the magic dragon movie, I watched it when I was about 6, but the only movies I find online are animated.

I think Pete's Dragon is the movie you are thinking about. BUT there was a movie out there called the Lollipop Dragon which was animated that I believe used Puff the Magic Dragon as it's theme song, (however this is a memory I am bringing up that I haven't had since I was five, so i could be WAYYYY off base). I think you are talking about Disney's Pete's Dragon, though. On IMDB I found two animated Puff the Magic Dragon Movies both of which, as you said, were animated and made for TV.

I remember one called Pete's dragon it had Anne Murray in it. She sang Puff the Magic Dragon in it ...at least I think she did. Most of it was live action except for the dragon. He was animated. I don't know if that's the one you're talking about but that's the one I remember

The one I remember from when I was a kid, had a little of both. Only the dragon was animated. Everyone else was real.
