It has to be -- India vs Australia at Eden Gardens in Calcutta on 11th March 2001 --- This is one of the only 3 matches in the history of Test Cricket where a team which was made to follow-on won the match and by far with a great margin of 171 Runs! The earlier 2 matches( 1895 & 1981 Series) were won by England also against Australia with a margin of 10 and 18 runs respectively. In this match though... India was completely outplayed by Australia in their first innigs ( Aus 445 ) and then was bowled out for 171 and made to follow on where India with a mammoth partnership from Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman scored 657/7 and declared their innings and bowled out Australia for 212 in their second innings winning the match by 171 runs!
One more thing which makes this match a stand out one is.. The World Champions Australia were looking for their remarkable 17th Successive Test Match Victory and almost looked as if they had it until this great turn around happened...and it required such a match to stop Australia's winning streak!

The best test match which i have witnessed so far is the one between India and Australia, India coming from following on and goin into win the test match. And the cherry on the cake was Harbhajan Singh getting a hatrick and V.V.S Laxman breaking Sunil Gavaskars record of 236

The last Ashes was very exciting especially since England put up such a tough fight when everyone said Australia would sweep it. Since I have only been following test cricket for about 5 years, I guess I can't say beyond that...don't get it in America. The Ashes definitely sold a lot of people on how it can be a close, exciting game even on the fourth day!!!

undoubtedly it is the one between IND &AUS at kolkata which india won after following on
also on par with it is the test between india and aus at mumbai in which india scored 93 in 1st inning, aussies scored 203,india scored around 220 in their 2nd innings and bowled aussies for 90-odd to emerge winners by around 15 runs
u may also say the adelaide test which again india won after concedin 554 in the 1st innings
well these three is followed by the india-pak match which pak won even after being down at 0-3,19-5,39-6 at some stages of the match

i think its the recent AUS vs SA match where the aussies pilled up some 434 run and SA beat them at the end.
i just loved the way gibbs & smith started off without any panic, knowing that they had a mammoth ahead.
u asked for test matches right, i hate test matches.......
