I would have to guess Walter Johnson, who is second all time in wins, with 417, and played in an 8 team American League his entire career. Well before inter- league play, also.

The next most wins in the AL is Roger Clemens with 310 wins and after expansion, so I think Johnson is a safe bet. Eddy Plank comes in third with 305, and since he was before expansion, so he has a better chance than Clemens, but I'm going with Johnson.
