What do you mean by "play disoriented?" Is this a new problem? Try troubleshooting using the device manager. To get to the device manager, go to: right click My Computer> choose Properties> choose Hardware tab> click on Device Manager> choose DVD/ CD-ROM drives> choose the drive which is causing you problems> double click the drive> choose the General tab> read the dialog box and check if its says,
"This device is working properly. If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter."
Otherwise, click troubleshoot and follow the instructions. I hope this helps.
