I have experienced that day today. It was not unbearable hot with a small cool breeze that made it comfortable. I sat in the tall grass in my own slice of heaven (my back yard). under the shade of an ancient pear tree with a good book surrounded by my cats and kids. all in a good mood purring and laughing. we had a picnic and tall glasses of iced tea. and just relaxed letting the worries of tomorrow slip away with the cool breeze. It was a simple but profound day of joy, one that I hope to experience again and again.

Ah, the Perfect Summer's Day - can't wait. First, I would invite a couple of dear friends and see if my grandkids could come, too.
Then, I would pack a wonderful picnic lunch with iced tea, chicken, potato salad, carrot and celery sticks, radishes, pickles, fresh french bread, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, and fresh watermelon.
Then, I would take everybody to a wonderful park near me that overlooks the ocean. We would enjoy our lunch and listen to some nice music while the kids play on the swings and slides, maybe play some Frisbie, and just relax and talk.
When evening came, we would find seats and hear one of Shakespeare's plays performed right there on a stage in the park.
We would watch the sunset, enjoy the play, and then go home, relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated!! And, as my mother used to say, "And a good time was had by all!" Wanna come with us?

On an empty beach in the South Pacific, swinging in a hammock and unwinding for most of it, (after someone had given me a pill that meant I did not think about work, relationships, family probs or any kind of stress for the whole day) drinking ice cold drinks and listening to lovely relaxing music while the sea lapped nearby. Will that do?

On the beach with my kids and hubby. Making sand castles, swimming, picnicking (does this look right? That the spelling from the spell check...hum) on the beach. Just having fun and relaxing. Oh I can't wait just 1 more week until vacation! It's going to be so much fun. We haven't yet told our kids that we are going to stay at the beach...they are going to be so thrilled! And me too, it's been a while since we've kicked back and relaxed.

A perfect summer day will in time follow a perfect winter day. If this be true then why should one not except a perfect day for spring - with countless roses to count, and a perfect day for autumn as well - with many a broken hearts to soothe. Since it is still summer time, and I have one perfect day in hand to spend but the question is - how on earth I am going o do this?
Now, this is how I would like to spend my perfect summer day: of course I would be up early in the morning when the Sun will still be in a silvery mist of a certain possibility. First of all then, I will take my nightly worn clothes off and will try to see myself as and when I was born - I need to do this because the memory of that all-important moments has completely faded away from my mind. I do not remember what brightens was it that first caught my attention, for example. I will then look towards east with a certain anticipation for a beautiful sunrise. I will try to image the world – and my world, being born all over again. I will try to realise how many fellow humans and how many other marvellous things have been born into existence like myself. This contemplation – however small and momentary will make me wonder - I like to wonder and marvel at things that are beautiful and majestic in nature this helps me get my mind out of piteous perplexities of a normal day. So, then I will see the Sun actually rising out of probable mist into a certain clarity of a bright welcoming sky. I will then know that another immaculate day has been granted to me that I am not going to spoil. With this realisation, I will dress myself in the radiance of the best of my dreams and prepare myself to embrace my life as if a perfect summer day is the first day.
Then in the midmorning when the light of the day is still young and evening far in anticipation, when the kingdom of the day has been established, mist has gone and pur light has prevailed, I will go out and see people that I see everyday but today being my perfect summer day I will see them all over again. I will like to know about them a little better along my way. I will exchange greetings with children with all people, I would like to admire all things I would see. I will know for sure that I am not alone in this world.
By midday the Sun will be at its zenith. It will be at the peaks of its generosity and compassion. I will think of hope. I will think of people who have endured life but refused to give up. The people who never lost hope and courage. I will soak myself in the light of the mentions of people who sacrificed for the sake of others. The people who upheld a torch for other to see their way through. I will think about all this so dearly and hardly I will be able to see this through me. I would like to talk to people. I would like to know how they are, what they do, who they live with? I will talk about ordinary things, things that worry them, things that matter to them, things that make them aspire, and make them alive. The things that they think no one else even cares about.
And then in the evening I will lit a candle in my home – candle of love, hope and memory. I will remind myself of the glorious rising Sun I experience a the beginning of my perfect day. I will think of all the people saw, and I met. I will think about their happiness their sorrows. I will smile, and then I will cry. I will compose few poems in the light of the candle. I will compose poem about all that I saw, and would like to have seen. I will write poems so that tomorrow I do not forget, and so that people do not forget – tomorrow after all is another day.

Sitting on my deck, with a nice cold drink of sweet tea, or an ice-cold beer, laughing and talking with friends.
