Your question is rather vague.
If you are talking about a DSL modem/router which requires a phone line, it will only work on lines that have high speed enabled on them, but your EULA normally forbids you to legally move it.
If it's a Cable modem/router, it should work anywhere on your PHUB (several blocks in any direction) as long as it's hooked up to cable. Again, your EULA forbids this usually.
If you are talking about a wireless router or wireless card that you are pilfering Internet from, it'll work in any hotspot, but again you are in a legal grey area at best, and outright breaking the law at worst
If you ar just talking about a plain old router, you can hook it into any high speed connection and it should work unless it does a PPPoE login to a DSL modem - in that case it will only work on high speed connections on the same service provider.

No, your router will only work in places with wireless connection. A lot of hotels have this, but you probably can't use it in your car. Your internet should last as long as you want it to.

yea for sure.....u just need to configure the IP settings....n ur done........n d internet tht depends on where ur going ....does thtat place have internet connectivity or not.....n all.
but other wise ......routers work anywhere unless they have some electrical fault.......

as long as there is a modem you can plug your router into yes it will work and it will last as long as you keep the modem on.
