My right breast is hurting. It's almost like by nipple is burning and it goes all the way through my breast. What could be the problem? I just got off of my period and I haven't had sex in awhile, so I don't think I am pregnant. What else could it be?

OMG!!! Stick a needle in it now or it will explode!!!

Seriously...maybe you just slept on it funny..that would make it hurt. If it doesn't stop, see a doctor.

It is very likely and infected milk duct. This can happen whether you have been nursing recently or not. This can spread and be VERY painful. I really suggest you go the to doctor and have it looked at. There is a medical term for this but I cannot remember what it is. I had it after my son was born. Hope that helps.

If you have a child, it's possible you are still producing some milk and that a duct is infected. A simple round of antibiotics will clear it up, but mastitis can be fatal, so get on it.

Sounds like you have an infection in one of your ducts, I'd see a DR.

You should probably take a picture and email it to me, so that I can properly evaluate your situation. I am an amature gynecologist...
