my daughter loved:
cheese like colby or swiss
those fruit puffs from gerber (baby food aisle)
crackers
cut up fruit (canned or fresh)
steamed vegis (cooled and cut up)
we also had this food net from munchkin that worked great!

it allowed her to eat alot more foods with out having to worry about her choking. we put chicken, hotdogs, turkey, shredded beef etc into it. she'd suck and chomp happily until it was gone and then beg for more. You can put anything soft in that net. We got it at babies r us

toast, cooked carrots, cooked beats, cooked sweet potatoes, crackers, cheese is ok too, cheerios are great and whole grain!
Just cook everything so it's pretty soft but still ok to pick up. Make sure it's sliced small enough to find down the windpipe if baby doesn't chew it. Sweet potatoes cut into fries, cooked and frozen are easy and nutritious. Fruit is also ok, just make sure the slices are small.
Chicken, any meat really, again, small pieces, and no seasoning is great. Just boil a chicken breast leaving it tender and juicy and cut up. Cooked beans and lentils cut up are great. Tofu is ok.
Finger foods are the very start of baby eating what you eat. Keep foods unseasoned and easy for baby to eat and introduce lots of different things! Always watch for allergies but if you've made it this far you're probably ok!

I like the Gerber graduates fruit puffs and the mini fruits. You can also cut up fruits into small pieces so that they can pick them up with their own fingers. Not to big and the baby has to have a least two teeth

i say Cheerios and those Gerber finger foods are they best they come in all different flavors. They melt in the baby's mouth so they don't choke.

cheerios, canned fruit pieces (you may have to cut them up more)
cut up green beans into small pieces
also, gerber makes a whole line of pick-up products. they have fruit and veggie puffs that are easily picked up and dissolve quickly in baby's mouth. they also have cereal puffs....check the baby food section and you should find them there!
take care!

Besides giving Cheerios, I also used to give Fruit Loops (same idea, size & shape of Cherrios, only these have fruit flavors). My other recommendation would be, if you are going to use the Fruit Loops, please get the lower sugar Fruit Loops, and please don't give too, too many of these just because they do contain sugar.
Have a lovely rest of the day.

Cheerios, puffed wheat, cut up bananas, anything that can be cut up (if cutting up hotdogs, slice them length-ways, the kids like to hold them, yet they won't choke on the pieces). Good luck.

I always started my children on cheerios and cut up fruit, the canned kind is softer. Good luck!
