Jealousy is one thing that's better not be in ANY relationship to begin with no matter what. If it'll get there and grow, kill it at the root, otherwise it won't let you have a normal life and a healthy relationship. A little bit of jealousy can be at times present in any relationship, but not too much. Jealousy usually brings up all the insecurities, fears, and suspitions a person can ever have. It's a bad thing to have (like a disease) and it can "eat" the person from inside out if not given help and assistance in time... The best thing to do is to find out why the partner is jealous and assure them that there's no reason for that because you love them and only them (there's no one in your life but them). It'll lower the jealousy's lifetime and make it a lot easier to go through in life and relationship.

Insecurity is the root of jealousy. It isn't necessary, but it would appear that everyone has a small amount of insecurity in their relationships. The fear of loss can drive people to say and do the stupidest things.
Functional adults may still have insecurity, but they know appropriate ways to deal with it within themselves. No one has the right to verbally or physically abuse someone just because that person has done something or appears to have done something that somehow stimulates their insecurity.
Love cares and nurtures and supports. Love does not throw tantrums, make scenes, break objects, or hit others.

If you love your partner and have no reason to be jealous or mistrust him/her, then show how much you appreciate and how much you truly love him/her! Jealousy will land you in the gutter alone. Being jealous shows that you don't trust him for whatever reason, and will cause more problems. Try talking to your partner and get reasons for the behavior.

If you have a jealous spouse, it could be a couple of things. If they have a reason to be then you both need to work it out. But if they are a clingy, "no share. EVERYONE wants you" kinda person, get rid of them, cuz they will never change. Things will just get worse & they'll start accusing you of stupid things like you were hitting on the drive through guy.

I just learned from alot of smart people on this yahoo answer something important that saved my relationship and I am thankful to you all. I think that you should never doubt your plus one (another one of my names for partner) unless he/she has given you a reason to believe it. The more you give them space and air to breath and talk to others , the more they will appreciate you. Don't be jealous if he talks about some other chick or same for guys (visa versa) because after all, he chose you, didn't he and if he/she liked them he /she wouldn't tell you. Hope I answered your question.

i'm no longer loopy and unreasonable. yet i'm fairly stingy about my guy...even if that is all out of love. i do not pick to say i'm getting "jealous" because i do not see absolutely everyone as a danger to our relationship. we've too a lot believe for that...jealousy can spoil a relationship.

NO NO NO !!!! it is not needed. I think other people inherit those traits , some more intense then others. the old saying is true if you love and trust someone you must be willing to let them go. there is no other approach that really works. good luck

I don't think jealosy is right. I think that the people who are jealous are just insecure in their realtionship and it's a personal issue. I personally would not be with someone who was jealous and I am never jealous when it comes to my husband. If another women is looking at him or flirting with him, it makes me proud to be his wife. Not jealous.

No it is not, cause that is why half of these people are breaking up right now, cause they are jealous and have low self esteem.
