his response is that they have done this all his life, he is 46 yrs. old, has 2 other brothers who do not get same "treatment" coming and going, he is the eldest of 6, "real mammas boy", thing is, she knows I don't appreciate getting "sloppy seconds" so she looks AT ME when she does this to see/get my reaction.
We have been together for 20+ years (married for 11), and when things are like really good between us, he will turn to give his cheek, but she is very needy and dependent on their relationship, he knows I think this is very disrespectful to me,not to mention gross/perverted to me, come on he is 46 yrs. old...how many of you guys (out of elementary school) out there bust slobs with your mommy? Am I wrong? Being unjust? eewwww...jsut thinkning about it grosses me out...what can I do? and dont tell me to deal with it, not without alot of dust being kicked up!

Wow,,, that does sound pretty disgusting the way you worded it. It often appears that the mother in law and daughter always seem to have competition going on. I am not really sure why and it getting rather old. You and this quy have been together 20 plus years and there is still tension between the 2 women he so obviously adores. Being a woman you know how to add fuel to the fire or put out the flames...Try taking the higher road and leave it be. I have another tool you could use as well... It is called PRAYER... the most powerful tool out here. God sees all that is going on and He knows how you feel about it. He also knows how your husband feels as well. Can you imagine how excited he will be to see his 2 favorite girls interacting without foolishness. Pray about it and leave it be...

This is what I would do, since you are going to be going to the doctor more frequent towards the end of your pregnancy. It's normal for pregnant moms to talk in the waiting room. I would say you met someone who was having her second child and her mom kissed the baby on the lips and ended up getting a cold. Which is not good for a new borne. Doctor recommends people wash hands and no kissing mil the baby builds up their immune system. I would tell her you asked the doctor at your visit and he confirmed. This way when the day comes you don't have to tell her.

Now this is where u gotta kick A.s.s. and thats wi a capital A! wot on earth is ur mom in law trying to show??? best bet b4 she duz it again you confront ur feelings, well not exactly feelings but just say its disgusting and not right. He aint a 2 year old toddler no more, and tell her that the right of kissing the lip belongs to the wife so unfortunately in her case you've married her son now, so she dunt have the right to do that. Just be frank and straightout. Oh and make sure you make a big fuss out of it and start a big fight otherwise she'll still do it again. G.luck girl..

Not so sure You want to hear My answer, but I hope that You are open to it. My Family does the same. It is just a form of affection, it is quick and respectful. I kiss My Mom on the lips. But You are making something terrible out of it. It isn't like a sexual thing, it is like an I Love You thing. My oldest Son's Mother-In-Law also kisses Him on the Lips, they all kiss like that. I think it has to do with the level of Love, and the openness of expression.

Your Husband Loves You, He Married You, He gives His precious passionate kisses to You.

Please don't disrespect His Family. Just realize that this brief, small kiss, is only meant of show affection, nothing more.

I am 53 years old and I kiss my Mom on the lips without having any second thoughts about it. I can see it would tick you off if she knows it bothers you,but then many m/i/l's tend to tick off their son's mate. I would just turn away or ignore her and in time she may stop this little game she plays.

Maybe he was abused as a child by her. She sounds gross to me. I would never kiss my mom on the lips. My mom is lucky to get a kiss on the cheek. BLEH never on the lips ever. I gotta go. I'm gonna be sick.

I've only seen one person kiss their adult son on the lips. ewww.
When she looks for your reaction, don't give her one. Part of why she does it is you don't like it.
