how much is it worth?, because i found it in my penny jar when i was looking through it, and i heard it's worth a lot

I do belive it to be worth some $$. Go to the u.s. mint web site or search coin collecting. Hope you find what your looking for.

The copper pennies that are worth a lot are from 1943 - that year, there were only a few "accidental" copper pennies made, because copper was needed for the war effort. You can just throw the coin back into circulation, and it'll be worth one cent. However, the website below lists the value of different coins in different conditions (the first link has the chart, and the second link has the descriptions of what those letters mean for conditions). It could be worth between $10-$50 in good condition; possibly up to $12,500. Hope this helps!

Nope. Its the 1943 copper penny that is worth a lot of money. In 1943 pennies were made of steel because copper was a strategic metal used in the war, however, there was still raw material left over from the 1942 series and subsequently a handful of 1943 copper pennies got into circulation.

I don't think it's the copper pennies, I think it's the lead ones that are worth money, but I'm not sure.
Double check it with your bank.

It depends on the coin's condition....probably it is worth .10 to.85 cents if it has a D if it has an S
.15 to 1.25

No the one cent that its worth more than its face value are those from the 1920's it depends who made them. They should have a letter on the face side of the coin, that means who made it and depending on that depends its value
