i've been trying to find summer clothes but i'm really confused. i want to look feminine but stay comfortable. i'm five-one, 36-26-34. what kinds of clothing should i be looking for and what prints can curvy girls wear? what should i be staying away from?

thanx to everyone who gave such great answers. i have a great time spending money and i now have enough staples to get me through the summer, so i can now shop for accessories just for fun without all the pressure. thanks again.

I'd say go for empire waist (baby doll) inspired tops/ dresses with a V-neckline that draws attention upwards & gives the illusion of height.
Another good choice would be vertical stripes, heels and bootcut jeans. But judging from your measurements, you can carry off almost any look.
Curvy girls should stay away from busy prints and horizontal stripes: a double no no!

Try to stay away from stripes, as they can make you look wider. Polka dots can be ok if used with care. Plain colors usually are the way to go, but there are ways you can dress them up. Layer things, and use pretty girly accesories.

never wear stripes if you have a large area that the stripes cover, i would go with polka dots, but say, only with a jacket and bag. If you have short legs avoid 3/4 lengths especially turn ups
