is there a way to have yahoo messenger available with out actually installing it?

my company does not want employees installing chat software

just have to wait till ya get home i guess

Even if there was (which there isn't) I am reasonable certain as a Network Administrator for a company, that it would not work. Businesses normally have the ports for chatting blocked by their firewall. So when you attempt to chat, it will send a warning to the Network Administrator so that they will know you are trying to use a chat program. So my advise is to NOT attempt it. (I hate having to get people fired).
