cause somehow i see unrealistic plays ... like being manipulated ... how the player/team suddenly play worse .. the score is manipulated so mafia get most of the money ..
and country gets the money too ?
it is a huge amount of money you know .. i predict in one game, the mafia can get all people's average daily income.. people here is all around the world !!

I beginning to think so. This year World Cup is so obvious how some players are given yellow card easily (ironically it happens always to key player of the team). I think they should so another draw after the first round. Right now some teams are hedging so that they don't have to play against the big team e.g. Germany who is the host country.

Andygurl: FIFA is being investigated for bribery/corruption. Go figure!

The World Cup is being played in Germany, and FIFA is running the show. The World Cup is not being played in Italy, whee the Mafia does have an impact on games.

South africa are good contenders for the rugby world cup but not the other 2 really. Australia have cricket easily and have a good chance in the rugby but not in football. England is basically fairly well chanced in all 3, so I think the one most likely to win all three would be England.

If there is any manipulating going on it is not being done by the mafia you are referring to. SingaporeSling..good idea re the redraw, it would definitely stop teams playing for draws etc to stop them meeting and playing the more strongly favoured sides earlier than they would like. They would always have to play to their potential, not knowing who the next round will bring to them on the field.
