I am afraid its pretty serious...
He is definately losing the rest of World Cup after the injury on his knee.
The condition is called ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and for a soccer player translates usually 4 to 6 months out of action.
But that also depends on the will of the player and if he wants to risk it by returning earlier (not before 4 months though).

Out for 6 months, bad enough for England and Newcastle,. Done to Crouch, Walcott and Rooney to carry the threat to the rest of the teams up front.

He's got a ruptured ACL...Not only is he out of the Tournament but he could be out for at least 5 months.
Bad news for England and for Newcastle

This would be an excellent question, if anyone was interested in the World Cup.

Yes he's gone.
I don't think it's THAT much of a blow anyways because he's been struggling of late, and Crouch can be a very effective player.

This means there's a good chance Walcott will see action at some point...

I am so sorry! I have a special place in my heart for him, since he scored that beautiful goal against my team in 1998.
