Shaq is 34 years old and obviously he's not the dominant player he used to be. However, he still averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds in these 2006 playoffs including the Finals. He still commands double and triple teams. He still has the post up moves and the power dunks. He still runs down the court as fast as any other center in the league. I'd have him on my team whether he's 34 or 40. Bottom line, he's still Shaq and there will never be another player like him.

I think you have to stop being a Shaq hater. I thought that this year he did an MVP type of job in that he is a greater passer and played very unselfishly. You have to remember that when Shaq was in Orlando, people thought that Penny Hardaway was the man, but when Shaq went to LA, what happened to Orlando? And what happened to the Laker? Same with Kobe, what has happened to the Lakers since Shaq has left and what has happened to Miami? There is a reason tha winnng follows Shaq....thats why he is so highly rated. Recognize that.

Shaq was the reason Miami won the Championship. And the reason the Lakers won 3 in a row. Shaq is not done, he is likely to 3 peat in Miami too. Shaq is the most dominant player in the NBA. You are a hater. D. Wade is the man, i mean MVP

Is that even a question? Of course hes overweight at 340 but he has muscle and kicks @ss in the low post, hes underrated, and all stars are overpaid. All starters in general are overpaid.

shaq was the reason why Miami won the championship! he brought experience to this team. He might not be the same dominant shaq that we saw years ago, he did in fact provide a championsip mindset to his new Miami Heat team. He kept telling them that the championship is for them to win. And he told them to believe!!! And most importantly, He exposed Wade's greatness!

Weren't it for Shaq, do you really think that Wade could win it single-handedly? I don't think so...

A celebrity and talent are not equal. Clearly he was an intregal player in the Laker-Kobe-Shaq-Jackson team. He has some work to do on his game. Trust and believe he is not the only one.

He's no doubtedly slowed down, but he's great at what he's great at and I think he's been the BEST motivation the Heat has ever had. I'm glad we got him I hope that this championship will bring them even closer and make us stronger for next year!

GO HEAT!
