Myspace is a fun website, but after a while it gets boring, your computer slows down, and there are not many safety controls. Not many people use it constructively. I know of 10 year old kids who have Myspaces, and I'm not sure it's safe for them out there.

wow...what a loaded question. i think that the beginning concept was a good one---to meet friends your age and from your school if your school is large and local kids, too.
Somehow, leave it to humans, it got all messed up and out of control. and yes, downright dangerous. I think it should be deleted and outlawed.
The smut and lies and identity issues are horrendous. My kids have been on there and there are more misunderstandings and fights and rudeness. And the near-porn photos are disgusting. what is with that?? Are the teens today so looking for attention because they don't get the love and recognition from family?? They have the need to be extreme to be noticed. Sad sad sad.
We have all heard of the murders with myspace.com being the beginning of the route for those crimes. And it is too easy to get on myspace as many adults are on there PRETENDING to be kids. In my opinion, it is just another avenue for Satan to get into our homes and the minds and hearts of our unsuspecting young folks. It ruins it for the ones that would use it in the way it was intended. Let's remember--these kids are the future.

It's only as dangerous as any other place you would meet strangers. Just use common sense. Don't give out personal info. Don't go to meet a stranger from myspace alone.... and preferably meet in a well-lit public place.

It really depends on what you reveal about yourself. Try not to reveal too much personal information and you're fine. I use it to keep in touch with friends who i haven't seen in a while and find out about events going on locally. Also, it is helpful for police who create fake profiles to lure out internet predators.

Well it is very helpful to stay in touch with friends...it aint dangerous...its fun and addicting

only been there once but for kids it very bad in just my opinion they should shut it down or make sure kids are safe my son will never go there for sure
