Those who romanticize characters in great literature; contemporary bourgeois life, those seeking excitement in extra-marital affairs; tose who overly romanticize idea of love and romance.

I wouldn't say the Flaubert's themes and work are exactly satirized in the story, but they are parodied in a way that makes them humorous. My reading is that Flaubert's theme has been adopted not satirized, but others might read it differently.
