Q1: To share information I have either experienced or researched.
Q2: Check my profile. I'm not sure.
------------
I really enjoy this format because it does not require me to join a group on a particular topic. I am not subject to some power-hungry moderator's "rules" and I can answer questions without stepping on anyone else's ego. I can go to any category I choose and I don't have to deal with getting emotionally involved with people (the way it's expected in a private group setting). I also think it's nice that people have the opportunity to ask questions they might not otherwise ask or research on their own. I also read many of the questions just to get an idea of what's on people's minds these days.

I am bored for one and the "smartfilters" on my work computer don't allow me to access sites where I feel I can better spend my time, and if I can answer a question that will help someone that's always a plus. I have supplied approximately 400-something answers to date and have been a Yahoo! Answerer for a little over 1 month.
How about you?

I take the time to answer other people's questions because I like to help out if I can. Other questions are relatively for fun or just poll type questions so I basically just put my 2 cents in.
With this question I have supplied 4,727 answers according to my profile.

1. at first i was curious of how this works and wanted to earn som points. But then I realized the points are useless and good for nothing, i just answer for fun, sometimes I just surf around looking for some challenging, interesting, or funny questions. And some of the time, I take my time to write a long, long answer hoping to help out whoever posts it, too.
2. i thought u could see people's points when they post something? 682

Q1. Because it's interesting to see what people want to know about. I only answer the ones that look interesting or funny.
Q2. I don't know how many answers I have given.

Because it's fun, and I am interested in the human condition. I like to see other people's responses, their humor, their sarcasm, indifference, and prejudice. It's fascinating. I also am looking for current trends and this is a good place to be. I guess I've supplied a couple hundred answers or more...

I like to answer questions in the Computers & Internet section myself. I work in that field and know alot about it and like helping people if they are in a stuck situation.
I've answered hundreds of questions. Some have answered thousands.
