There are a lot of them that are considerably good, but your question also depends on what you want and what kind of skin you have. If you are oily, try oil free foundations from Chanel, Estee Lauder. MAC Studio Fix and Physician Formulas. If you are dry, try mineral foundations, such as everyday minerals at everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free and these are the purest minerals in the market.

Well personally I use About face line defiance, it is a moisture-rich, water-based, liquid makeup that smoothes the look of fine lines and wrinkles, protecting against the invisible enemy, time, with SPF 8. I also use mineral powder foundation SPF 15 for realistic coverage, with minimal effort. It is advanced formula including minerals and pigments that are blended into a light-reflecting powder that provides sun protection, a natural look and a flawless finish … all in one. Ensures a perfect match. With About Face color products, it’s simple to select the hues that are right for you. First, determine if you’re Warm, Neutral or Cool — based on your eye, hair and skin color/tones — then select the shades specifically formulated for that group. About Face is a color collection that’s convenient and customizable, and which offers variety and simplicity. I love them and will not change them for any reason.....

Bare Esentuals is the best. I have skin that tends to break out with liquid foundation. Bare Esentuals is a mineral powder that covers everything and it doesn't lead to break outs or irritation.

Covergirl tinted foundation. It has an SPF in it! About 6 bucks.

If you have dry skin, you should probably use liquid foundation. Call a makeup consultant and they will help find the right color for your skin. Ask them any of your questions. The MaryKay brand has its own posse of makeup consultants, and you can get a free consultation from one of them anytime.

Mabelline Wonder Finish. It's light with a powder finish and doesn't cake. Comes in tons of tones! Cheap too!

I like Prescriptives because they can match your skin color exactly. Neutrogena's Healty Skin Enhancer in the pump dispenser is also good and less expensive.

Chanel Chanel Chanel
Worth every penny.
I get mine (Vitalumiere for dry skin) on ebay and I end up paying about what it costs for any department store brand.
