Bare Esentuals is the best. I have skin that tends to break out with liquid foundation. Bare Esentuals is a mineral powder that covers everything and it doesn't lead to break outs or irritation.

If you have dry skin, you should probably use liquid foundation. Call a makeup consultant and they will help find the right color for your skin. Ask them any of your questions. The MaryKay brand has its own posse of makeup consultants, and you can get a free consultation from one of them anytime.

but recently switched to Loreal Infallible liquid make up
both go on smooth and last for hours

I like Prescriptives because they can match your skin color exactly. Neutrogena's Healty Skin Enhancer in the pump dispenser is also good and less expensive.
