You can't make this person do anything. And to tell you the truth, you don't want to. You want them to like you for who you are and not because you were trying to be someone you're not. Otherwise, you are just cheating yourself out of a great, emotionally balanced relationship. And you are also cheating them, lying to them about who you are.
If you want them to like you, just be yourself around them and maybe show them that you are interested through flirting. If they take the bait, then that is awesome! If not, just say, "Oh well, their loss," and move on.
