The difference a money order is considered cash, so yes you can sign and deposit it, but you shouldn't have to wait for the funds to clear.

I have just signed the back and deposited it, just treat it like a normal check. It is a check really, for people who want to sent a "secured" check or maybe don't even have a checking account.

Yes, a money order is as good as cash, but with a number to cancel it if it gets lost. The bank should not even hold the funds like they do with checks (although some will).

Yes. I work at a bank. You just add the amount to the Money Order on your deposit slip with the rest of your checks and then just deposit it.. SIMPLE

Pretty much. There's probably a spot on the back where you should sign. Then deposit to your account. The bank will go about "collecting" the funds.

Yes you do treat it the same as a personal check. The only difference from a personal check is the bank will not put a hold on it as the do with checks that are not drawn on thier bank.
